This study looks at how two types of exercise, Whole-body Vibration (WBV) and Treadmill Training (TT), help children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). CP is a condition that affects movement and muscle coordination. WBV involves standing on a machine that shakes gently to help muscles relax, while TT means walking on a moving walkway. WBV can help with walking and reducing muscle tightness, but its effects don't last long. This study tests if doing WBV and TT together helps more than just TT alone.
Twenty children aged 6-17 with spastic CP will participate. Each session includes walking on a treadmill and using a WBV machine. Researchers will measure their walking and muscle tightness before and after each activity. The goal is to see if combining WBV and TT improves walking and reduces muscle tightness better than TT alone.
- Study involves a single visit with measurements taken at five points.
- Participants must be able to safely walk on a treadmill.
- No recent injuries or treatments like Botox injections are allowed.
