Phase 2

Study Overview: This study looks at how the body processes and responds to Epeleuton, a drug for adults with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Sickle Cell Disease is when red blood cells are shaped like a sickle and can block blood flow. The study lasts about 5 months with 16 weeks of taking the medicine and some follow-up visits.

Who Can Join: Adults 18 and older with sickle cell disease can join. You should not have had a blood transfusion in the last 3 months. If you take hydroxyurea, your medicine dose should be stable. Both men and women must agree to use strong birth control during the study.

Who Cannot Join: You cannot join if you get regular blood transfusions, have had a stem cell transplant, or are pregnant. Also, if you have trouble with blood tests, you may not qualify.

  • Study Duration: Up to 5 months, including treatment and follow-up.
  • No regular blood transfusions allowed during the study.
  • Participants must use effective contraception.
