The SYN 20-01 Study is a research project to see how well a special material called GORE® SYNECOR Biomaterial works when used to fix certain types of hernias. A hernia is when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue that holds it in place. This study will look at people with a ventral or incisional hernia, which are types of hernias in the belly area. The study will take place in different places around the world and last for 60 months (that's like five years!). Participants will be divided into groups based on their location (US or EU). The study will follow people who have hernias that can be repaired with this special material and have clean wounds. People with dirty or infected wounds cannot participate.

  • Study Length: 60 months (5 years).
  • Visits: Regular check-ups over 5 years.
  • Risks: Wounds must be clean, no infections allowed.
