Phase 3

This study is about testing a new medicine called dexpramipexole for people with severe asthma that isn't controlled well. Asthma is a lung condition that makes it hard to breathe. This study wants to see if dexpramipexole can help people breathe better and if it's safe to use. People who join will take the medicine or a fake pill (called a placebo) for one year. There are about 1400 people from different places in the study.

Key Points:

  • Duration: The study lasts for 52 weeks, plus a 4-week follow-up.
  • Participation: You must be 12 or older with severe asthma and have tried other asthma treatments.
  • Compensation: Participants may receive compensation for their time and travel.

Before joining, you should consider if you fit the conditions, like having asthma not controlled by your current medicines. Also, make sure you can attend the study visits and follow the rules. This study might help find a new way to manage severe asthma. Always talk to your doctor to see if joining is a good idea for you!
