Bipolar I disorder (BP-I) is a mental illness with mood swings, including mania (feeling very high) and depression (feeling very low). This study looks at how well the medicine Cariprazine works for adults with BP-I who are starting this treatment. It is an observational study, meaning doctors watch what happens without changing your regular treatment. Cariprazine, also known as Vraylar, helps with mood episodes in BP-I. About 170 adults from the U.S. and Canada will take part. Your doctor will prescribe Cariprazine like they usually would, and you decide separately if you want to join the study.

Over 24 weeks, your doctor will collect information during routine visits. You must have a BP-I diagnosis confirmed by a doctor, and have not used Cariprazine for your current depressive episode. If you have health issues that might affect participation, or allergies to Cariprazine, you should not join.

  • Study lasts up to 24 weeks.
  • No extra visits; aligns with regular doctor visits.
  • Discuss potential side effects with your doctor.
