This study compares two ways to remove melanoma, a type of skin cancer, to see which is better. Doctors will try cutting out the cancer with a 1 cm or 2 cm border of healthy skin around it. The main goal is to see if a smaller border, the 1 cm, is just as safe as the 2 cm. They also want to know if having less skin removed makes life better for patients. This study is for adults with Stage II melanoma, meaning the cancer is in the skin but has grown deeper. People in this study will have to agree to surgery and regular check-ups. The study will see if less surgery helps patients feel better and costs less.
- Study involves surgery and needs to be within 120 days of diagnosis.
- Eligible participants should be 18 years or older and able to consent.
- Potential benefits include improved quality of life and fewer side effects.
