This study looks at different ways to treat a serious eye condition called neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). nAMD is a problem with the eye that happens when new blood vessels grow under the retina, which can lead to vision loss. Doctors usually treat it with special medicine called anti-VEGF, which helps stop these blood vessels from growing. But, we don't know how many treatments each person needs, and it can be hard and costly to keep visiting the doctor.
This study will compare two ways to decide when to give the treatment: the Treat and Extend method and the Home Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)-guided treatment. OCT is a special camera that takes pictures inside the eye. The Home OCT allows patients to take pictures of their eyes every day at home, which might help doctors decide when to give the treatment more accurately.
- The study will last for about 2 years with frequent monitoring.
- If you join, you might need to take daily eye scans at home.
- Some visits to the eye doctor will be necessary, especially if you are in the Treat and Extend group.
