Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is a kidney condition common in kids. It causes the body to lose a lot of protein through urine, leading to symptoms like swelling and high cholesterol. NS is usually treated with strong medicines called corticosteroids. Many kids feel better with treatment, but the disease often comes back. Managing NS at home involves regularly checking urine for signs of relapse. This study tests a mobile app called UrApp, which helps families manage NS by reminding them to check urine, recording results, and sending alerts to doctors. The study includes 60 caregivers of kids with newly diagnosed NS. Participants are divided into two groups: one using UrApp and the other receiving regular care. They will be monitored for a year.
- The study lasts for one year and includes 60 participants.
- Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the UrApp or continue with standard care.
- User feedback will be collected to improve the app.
