AETOS Shoulder System Study is a research project to check the safety and how well the AETOS Shoulder System works. This system is used for shoulder replacement surgeries. The study is not comparing different treatments, and there will be no random selection of patients.

The AETOS Shoulder System is made by Smith & Nephew, Inc. It has special parts called humeral stems, which help attach the shoulder parts to your bone. This is important for surgeries like Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (TSA) and reverse shoulder arthroplasty. The study will take place at up to 15 locations and involves enrolling 220 adults who need a shoulder replacement due to conditions like arthritis.

  • Eligibility: Must be 18+ and need shoulder replacement due to certain conditions.
  • Study Visits: Requires regular follow-up visits to the study site.
  • Exclusion: Cannot participate if pregnant or have specific health issues like uncontrolled diabetes.

Before joining, make sure you are aware of the risks and requirements. Always talk to your doctor to see if this study is right for you.
