Phase 3

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. This study is testing a new way to deliver a COPD medicine called BGF by inhalers using two different types of air pushers, HFA and HFO. The study aims to see if both ways help the lungs equally. Participants should be between 40 and 80 years old and have a history of COPD.

The study lasts about 15-16 weeks and includes:

  1. A 2-week period to check if you're eligible and to try out a fake medicine.
  2. Three 4-week periods where you try different treatments.
  3. A final phone call 1-2 weeks after the last treatment to check on safety.

You will have weekly visits at first, and then visits every 4 weeks to measure lung function and health. You can ask for extra medicine if needed during the study.

  • The study takes about 4 months with multiple visits.
  • Free extra medicine is provided if needed.
  • Check if you can change your current COPD treatment as required.

Why should I take part in a clinical trial?

Participating in a clinical trial provides early access to potentially effective treatments and directly contributes to the healthcare advancements that benefit us all.

How long does a clinical trial take place?

The duration of clinical trials varies. Some trials last weeks, some years, depending on the phase and intention of the trial.

Do I get compensated for taking part in clinical trials?
