Study: Pregnancy in Women with Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
This study looks at how pregnancy affects lung function in women with cystic fibrosis (CF) who use special medicines called CFTR modulators. CF is a disease that affects the lungs and other organs, making it hard to breathe. CFTR modulators help improve life expectancy for people with CF. Researchers want to understand how these medicines affect pregnant women with CF. The study takes place at 40 locations in the US and follows women from the first trimester of pregnancy until two years after giving birth. Participants will have check-ups every three months during pregnancy, and every six months after the first year of delivery. Lung function changes during pregnancy will be evaluated considering other factors like initial lung health and medical history.
- Participants must be pregnant and plan to continue their pregnancy.
- They must be part of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Patient Registry.
- No specific exclusion criteria are listed.
