Study Overview: This is a 5-year study to see if a medicine called retatrutide can help reduce serious heart problems or stop kidney issues from getting worse. It is designed for adults who have a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or higher and who have heart disease or chronic kidney disease.

  • Participation Length: The study will last about 5 years with up to 27 visits to the clinic.
  • Eligibility: You need a BMI of 27 or more and may have type 2 diabetes, heart, or kidney issues. You cannot have type 1 diabetes, recent serious heart problems, or certain kidney conditions.
  • Conditions: You shouldn't have had weight-loss surgery or serious thyroid or pancreas issues.

Participants cannot have type 1 diabetes or have had serious heart conditions in the last 90 days. The study checks if retatrutide helps people with heart or kidney diseases who are overweight. If you qualify and agree, you will help researchers learn more about protecting the heart and kidneys. This study might involve risks or benefits, so it's important to discuss with your doctor before joining.
