Phase 2

This study is testing a new medicine called volixibat to help with itching caused by a liver disease, Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). PBC is a condition where the bile ducts in the liver become damaged and this can cause itching, also known as pruritus. The study aims to see how well volixibat works and if it is safe for patients.

  • The study is for adults 18 years or older with confirmed PBC.
  • You can still participate if you are taking certain medications for itching or PBC.
  • People with other liver problems or past liver transplants cannot join.

Participants will need to attend several study visits and follow the study rules. This study might help improve itching from PBC. Before joining, know that you will need to sign a consent form, which means you understand what the study involves and agree to participate.
