This study is looking at two ways of doing a surgery called Nipple Sparing Mastectomy (NSM) for women with early-stage breast cancer. The two methods are using a robotic system called the da Vinci SP Surgical System and the regular way, called Open NSM. The study wants to see which way is safer and works better. To be part of this study, you need to be a woman 21 years or older, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 30, and have early-stage breast cancer. Your breasts should not sag too much (ptosis ≤ Grade 2) and should be cup size C or smaller. You cannot join if you've had breast surgery before or if your cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
- This study is done at multiple centers and is a randomized controlled trial.
- You cannot participate if you smoke or have had radiation treatment to the chest.
- It is important to not be pregnant or breastfeeding during this study.
