Study on Green Sun Medical Dynamic Scoliosis Brace
Scoliosis is a condition where a person's spine curves sideways. The Green Sun Medical Dynamic Brace (GSM) is a new type of brace designed for kids with a type of scoliosis called adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). AIS usually happens in children aged 10-15. Instead of being super stiff like most braces, the GSM brace is partly flexible, allowing some movement while helping to straighten the spine. This study will test if GSM works better than the current braces, called TLSO. After wearing the GSM brace for 3 months, doctors will check if it has helped straighten the spine using the Cobb angle, a special way to measure how much the spine curves. Kids will also share how comfortable the brace is and if it bothers them in daily activities. To be part of this study, kids need to be already using a TLSO brace for at least 5 months, be a girl between 10-15 years old, and be able to speak and write in English.
- This study lasts for 3 months.
- Participants must be using a TLSO brace already.
- Only girls aged 10-15 can join.
