This study looks at using Microbiome Therapies (MT) to help patients with Multidrug Resistant Organism (MDRO) colonization. MDROs are bacteria that antibiotics can't easily kill. MT might help reduce these bacteria in the gut, which could prevent serious infections. This is important because it might help doctors avoid using strong antibiotics that can harm your kidneys. This study will test how safe and effective MT is for hospital patients.
In this study, 40 adults will be randomly split into two groups. One group gets a placebo (a pill that does nothing) and the other gets the treatment. This study will help researchers learn if MT can reduce MDROs safely.
- The study requires participants to stop taking antibiotics and probiotics before joining.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old and willing to swallow capsules.
- The study might help reduce the need for strong antibiotics, which have serious side effects.
