Exploring prostate cancer treatments with or without additional therapy.

Phase 3

Study Overview: This study looks at prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The trial compares the effectiveness of standard systemic therapy (SST), which is regular medicine given to the whole body, with or without additional treatments like surgery or radiation aimed at the prostate. These extra treatments might help stop the cancer from spreading further.

Main Goals: The study aims to see if adding surgery or radiation helps patients live longer and to check if it reduces symptoms or stops the cancer from growing.

Quality of Life: Researchers will ask patients about their comfort with urination and pain to see how different treatments affect daily life.

  • Participation Length: The study extends over several years, with follow-ups for 8 years.
  • Treatment Details: Patients will receive various medications over 22-28 weeks, and may undergo surgery or radiation.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Only patients with confirmed prostate cancer that has spread, and no other major illnesses, can join.
