Shear Wave Elastography (SWE) is a special ultrasound technique used to study how tendons, the tissues connecting muscles to bones, stretch and move. This study wants to see the differences between healthy tendons and those causing pain. It also checks how well tendons heal after normal treatments. Tendinopathy is when tendons are damaged, often causing pain and making it hard to move. This study will compare 150 people: 75 with tendon issues and 75 without. Viscoelastic properties mean how tendons both hold their shape and stretch. Understanding this can help doctors learn more about tendon healing.
Three key points:
- The study includes 150 participants and looks at tendon conditions over more than 6 months.
- Participants will undergo ultrasound scans to check tendon health and healing.
- Exclusions include pregnancy, history of tendon surgeries, and certain medical conditions.
If you have lower leg pain without tendon problems or have been diagnosed with tendon pain, you might be eligible. However, if you are pregnant or have had tendon surgery, you cannot join.
