Phase 3

This study is about testing a medicine called Cannabidiol in kids and young adults with Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), a genetic condition that affects learning and behavior. The medicine is called ZYN002 and is a gel you put on your skin. The study lasts around 18 weeks. During this time, some people will get the real medicine and some will get a fake one called a placebo, which helps scientists see if the medicine really works. No one will know who gets which, not even the doctors! The medicine amount will depend on the person's weight. There will be seven visits to the study center, some in person and some online.

  • Study Duration: 18 weeks with seven visits (in-person and online).
  • Eligibility: Ages 3 to <30 years with FXS, living with a caregiver, and in good health.
  • Compensation: Participants may receive compensation for their time and travel.

Parents and caregivers will apply the gel and answer some questions about how well the medicine works and if it's safe. Blood samples will be collected to ensure safety. This study aims to help improve treatments for FXS.
