Study Purpose: This study tests the long-term safety of a drug called rimegepant, used to treat severe headaches called migraines in kids aged 6 to 17. A migraine is a headache that can be very painful and sometimes causes nausea or sensitivity to light.
Who Can Join: Kids who have had migraines for at least 6 months, with 1-8 bad headaches each month. They need to weigh at least 40 kg (about 88 pounds) and can tell apart migraines from other headaches. They also need to have good veins for blood tests and must not be 18 or older when starting.
Who Cannot Join: Kids with other types of headaches, certain pain problems, or mental health issues like depression or past suicidal thoughts cannot join. Anyone with a history of drug or alcohol abuse is also excluded.
