Phase N/A

Since 1980, obesity, meaning a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more, has doubled worldwide. People with high central adiposity, which means having a lot of belly fat, often face problems like stress, thinking difficulties, and immune system issues. This study aims to explore if chiropractic care can help with these problems.

We will recruit 20 adults aged 18-65 with a BMI of at least 30 and a waist size over 35 inches for women or 40 inches for men. Participants must avoid certain activities before lab visits, have their measurements taken, spit into a tube for testing, wear sensors to check heart and breathing, do simple exercises, and answer health questions. They will receive chiropractic adjustments for 6 weeks.

Assessments will be conducted at the beginning, after 2 weeks, and after 6 weeks of chiropractic care.

  • Participation involves 6 weeks of chiropractic care.
  • Eligible participants must have a BMI of at least 30.
  • Excludes those with certain medical conditions or recent chiropractic care.
