Phase 3

This study is looking at how safe and tolerable a medicine called cariprazine is for kids and teens who have schizophrenia, bipolar I disorder, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Schizophrenia is a mental illness that affects how a person thinks, feels, and acts. Bipolar I disorder causes extreme mood swings from feeling very happy to very sad. ASD affects how a person communicates and interacts with others. The study wants to see if taking cariprazine over a long time is good or bad for these patients.

To join, kids need a main diagnosis of one of these conditions according to a special manual called DSM-5-TR, which is like a big book doctors use to understand mental health. They should also have a caregiver who can help during the study. Kids with other mental health issues or certain intellectual disabilities can't join.

  • The study is open-label, meaning everyone knows what medicine is being given.
  • Participants must attend all study visits with a caregiver.
  • Participants from previous related studies may have already had some tests done.
