This study is about helping teenagers lose weight and keep it off using a medicine called semaglutide. Semaglutide is a special medicine that helps control how much you eat and is given as a small needle shot once a week. This study is for teens aged 12 to 14 who weigh more than 60 kg (about 132 pounds) and have a high Body Mass Index (BMI), which means they have more body weight than is healthy for their height. BMI is a measure to check if someone is at a healthy weight. Teens will take semaglutide for at least 3 years to see how well it helps with weight loss. The study will not include teens who have other medical reasons for being overweight or who have had weight loss surgery recently.
- Participants will receive semaglutide for a minimum of 3 years.
- Weekly visits for injections with a thin needle are needed.
- Participants must be between 12-14 years old and meet the weight criteria.
