This study involves a randomized control trial (RCT), where participants are randomly placed into different groups. It aims to help young people aged 14-24 who have been injured in violence and are seeking care in an Emergency Department (ED). The study tests two ways of delivering a remote therapy: a standard version called Standard Remote Therapy Intervention (S-RTI) and a smarter version using Artificial Intelligence (AI-RTI). The smart version uses a Reinforcement Learning (RL) algorithm, which is a type of computer learning that helps decide the best therapy approach. Each participant will take part in one ED session and five remote sessions, and they will answer daily questions about their progress. The study lasts 12 months, with follow-ups at 6 and 12 months.
