Study Purpose: This research is testing a new medicine, VX-993, to see if it helps with pain from Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN). DPN is a condition where people with diabetes feel pain in their feet or legs because of nerve damage.

Eligibility: To join, you must have diabetes (type 1 or 2) and have had pain in both legs due to DPN for at least 1 year. Your HbA1c, a blood sugar measure, should be 9% or less. You cannot join if you have other painful nerve problems or a recent heart event.

  • The study checks if VX-993 helps with pain and is safe to use.
  • Participants must have controlled diabetes and a history of DPN.
  • There are specific health conditions that may prevent participation.
