This study is about testing a new medicine called VX-993 to see if it helps with pain after a bunionectomy. A bunionectomy is a surgery to fix a bony bump on your big toe. The study will look at how well VX-993 works, how safe it is, and how it moves through your body (this is called pharmacokinetics). To join the study, you must be having a specific type of bunion surgery on one foot and follow all pain control rules during and after surgery. You cannot join if you've had foot surgery before, have heart rhythm problems needing treatment, or certain viral infections like HIV or hepatitis B/C.
- The study checks how well and how safe VX-993 is for post-surgery pain.
- Participants must be scheduled for a specific bunion surgery.
- Certain medical conditions may exclude you from participating.
