Endurant Stent Graft System vs Excluder Endoprothesis: ADVANCE Trial

This study compares two medical devices used to treat a condition called abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). An aneurysm is a balloon-like bulge in a blood vessel. In this trial, patients will be randomly assigned to receive one of two devices: the Medtronic Endurant II/IIs Stent Graft System or the Gore Excluder/Excluder Conformable AAA Endoprosthesis. These devices help repair the aneurysm without open surgery. The study will require follow-up visits for imaging tests at discharge, 30 days after the procedure, and then once a year for five years.

  • The trial lasts up to 5 years, with multiple follow-up visits.
  • Participants may need to travel to up to 100 different sites globally.
  • The trial will enroll at least 500 participants, possibly up to 900.

If you are interested, make sure you agree to return for all follow-up visits, and have an aneurysm size according to the inclusion criteria. You cannot join if you have certain other health conditions or if you're already in another study. This study aims to provide better treatments for AAA, so your participation can help improve healthcare for future patients.
