Empowering Young Parents: Building Healthy Relationships Study is a research project aimed at young people who were assigned female sex at birth and are either pregnant or parenting. This study wants to find out if a program called Safe Dates for Young Parents (SDYP) can help improve their sexual and reproductive health, reduce violence in relationships, and change their views on healthy relationships. Participants will be split into two groups: one will join SDYP sessions, and the other will not. The SDYP group will attend ten 50-minute sessions involving discussions, role-plays, and games.
- Participation requires three interviews over one year.
- Sessions last 50 minutes each and include interactive activities.
- Participants must be 14-21 years old, pregnant or parenting, and able to speak English or Spanish.
It's important to commit to the schedule and be willing to share contact information and consent to participate. If you are planning to travel or have any condition that might affect your participation, this study might not be suitable for you. This project could help improve relationship health and understanding in young parents.
