This study aims to see how well a new drug, Retatrutide, works for people with *Type 2 Diabetes* who have kidney problems and are not controlling their blood sugar well with their current medicine. *Type 2 Diabetes* is when your body doesn't use insulin well. Insulin helps sugar get from your blood into your cells for energy. Renal impairment means your kidneys aren't working as they should. The study compares Retatrutide to a placebo (a pill with no medicine in it). Some people in the study will keep taking their usual medicine, like insulin, *metformin* (a diabetes medicine), or *SGLT2 inhibitors* (which help remove sugar through urine). The study lasts about 14 months and includes around 22 doctor visits.
