Vafseo Outcomes In-Center Experience is a study for patients on hemodialysis, a treatment that cleans your blood when your kidneys don't work well. This study looks at how safe a medicine called vadadustat is. Vadadustat helps treat anemia, a condition where your blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells. The study involves patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD), which means their kidneys have almost or completely stopped working. Researchers will give the medicine to patients three times a week to see if it is safe to use over a long period.

To be in the study, you must be at least 18 years old and receive hemodialysis three times a week. You also need to be able to follow the study rules and give written permission to share your health information. You cannot join if you have liver disease, are pregnant, or can't take vadadustat for any reason.

  • The study is long-term, so be prepared for a commitment of time.
  • You will need to visit the center for your regular dialysis treatments.
  • Make sure you talk to your doctor about any risks or concerns.
