Phase N/A

The CAN-DO study helps caregivers of people with dementia learn important skills online. Dementia is a brain condition that makes it hard to remember, think, or make decisions. About 270 family caregivers will join the study. These caregivers will take a special online course right away or after some time. This course is for 6 months, and they will have interviews before and after the course. Caregivers will learn to manage healthcare, legal, and financial systems better, which helps keep their loved ones living at home longer.

Key Points:

  • Study lasts for 6 months with interviews before and after the course.
  • Must be a caregiver (at least 4 hours a week) for someone with dementia, be 18 or older, and have internet access.
  • Care recipient should not be moving to a care home or in hospice in the next 6 months.
