This study is looking at how effective and safe a medicine called BMS-986278 is for people with a lung disease called Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis. In this disease, the lungs get scarred and have trouble working properly. You may join if you have interstitial lung disease (ILD) with at least 10% lung scarring. If you're already on certain lung medicines like pirfenidone or nintedanib, you need to have been on them for at least 90 days. Some medicines are allowed if you've been taking them steadily, but not if you've recently started or stopped them. Women must use strong birth control and take a pregnancy test. Men need to use barrier contraception.
Exclusion criteria include having another specific lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, recent stroke, heart failure symptoms, or recent history of cancer. Also, you can't take high doses of systemic steroids before or during the study.
- The study lasts several months with regular check-ups.
- Some medicines need to be stable for 90 days before starting.
- Ensure no serious health issues like recent stroke or cancer.
