This study looks at how keeping track of blood sugar for pregnant women with diabetes can be done using a mobile app compared to paper logs. Women with type 2 diabetes (a kind of diabetes where the body doesn’t use insulin well) or gestational diabetes (diabetes that happens during pregnancy) need to check their blood sugar four times every day. This is important because tracking helps keep their blood sugar in a healthy range. Sometimes, paper logs get lost or forgotten. This study will see if using a phone app helps women keep better track of their numbers. Women who are at least 18 years old, 12 weeks pregnant, and have type 2 or gestational diabetes can join. Women who have less than 4 weeks left in pregnancy, use special devices or apps for blood sugar already, have type 1 diabetes, or don’t speak English cannot join.
- Study involves using a mobile app or paper logs to track blood sugar.
- Participants must be pregnant for at least 12 weeks and have type 2 or gestational diabetes.
- Excludes those with less than 4 weeks left of pregnancy or using certain glucose monitors or apps.
